Putin kicks off visit to Italy, Greece

President Vladimir Putin will leave Moscow for three days this week to visit Italy, Vatican, and Greece.

The Russian leader’s trip to Italy will begin on March 13 with a visit to Rome. Putin will meet there with his Italian counterpart Giorgio Napolitano and Italian PM Romano Prodi.

Putin is also due to meet with Pope Benedict XVI. Putin will visit the Vatican, where the Pontiff will grant an audience to the Russian president in his personal library within the Apostolic Palace"
